Sooner or later the albergue is full, or you have slept in a room with thirty other people for nine nights and you are finished. Both end the same way, with a phone call in Spanish to somewhere you have never been, usually made standing at the edge of a village at four in the afternoon.
This course is that call and what surrounds it. It starts with the different kinds of place to sleep, four words covering four price brackets that are not interchangeable and are routinely confused. Then booking, by telephone, the night before, which is how it is genuinely done rather than how a website suggests. Then the things in a room you notice at eleven at night and cannot name. It ends with what it costs and the words on the bill, including the two that decide whether dinner is part of the price.
